Whats the views on these peeps as a all round car ,be it the sporty diesel or the cupra r (fast version 225 horse)

Thinkin on one of these cars but undecided on what im doing regarding my cheap diesel van for commuting to work

cupra diesel with 150bhp seems brill for havin 1 car on have the cupra r petrol as a toy and tune it maybe

anyone had dealings with these cars ???

thinkin on sellin the cossie to help with gettin a mortgage and no repair bills for a while

test drove the new 150bhp deisel leon last Octoberish time, was great

but cud'nt afford it so got a 1.8 20v turbo in the end, then it broke

if i sell the cossie id deffo like to return when im settled and house was way i want it etc but id be returning for a 3 door cossie as a toy if i have the money saved and she lets me

Im already sorta doing that ,i have a mrk 6 escy van for my commute , just when there is 3 of us and missus has to sit in back of van aint to good

personally i don't think the 225 is that quick myself, a remapped 150 diesel on the other hand will be very quick when it matters. - overtaking etc aswell as returning good mpg.

i think the main difference between the 2 will be top end as the diesel will probably start to die off at about 130 whilst the 225 will be good for 150ish? but let's be realistic hear, 130 is fast enough on uk roads really!
