Just had my car smacked *Updated with how p***** off I am*
Just went to the cinema with some friends..nice and quiet wouldn't you think??
Anyway..stopped in the car park...tyres and tarmac behind another car..big silver Kia saloon....because I can't see the spaces ahead of him I assume when he then reversed slowly back he was just trying to get a bit more room to turn into a space?(as people very often do a little, or to let another car out?) The absolute twat then floors the car in reverse, into the front of my car, with me there stationary..needless to say it hurt..
I got out of the car to get his details (wasn't daylight so didn't want to assume there wasn't any damage..I'll look tomorrow) and he was really arsey about it, then his friend gets out of the car and starts rolling his eyes at me like you should be able to reverse the wrong way up an arrowed car park lane?
Anyway, he only wrote down his first name & a mobile number and the Reg plate..when quite obviously I wanted insurance details (& address)..but to be honest..I don't really want an argument with two grown men in a car park where there are no witness'..so wrote my reg plate number down and Phil's mobile number. Was so horrible though..I felt so intimidated by somebody who'd just smacked into my car I just could not wait to get away..
They didn't want to give me any details really and I wouldn't be suprised if it was a fake mobile number as they looked put out that I might be requesting details from him. I didn't get a ''sorry for smacking into your car'' or an ''are you ok considering I just shunted you backwards'' either..
Also just rang the police line and was told I can't report anything over the phone unless it was serious damage or I was seriously injured so have to go down to the police station tomorrow to report it

They also spoke whilst out of the car between themselves in a foreign language (the guys were asian, no disrespect) which made it even worse because it was like there was definitely something they didn't want me to hear..they spoke perfect english so wasn't that one had to translate to the other
Thanks guys x

Yeh I do think they had a camera literally just next to where I was at the time..but if all is ok I shouldn't need to prove or disprove anything..just want to report it & check there isn't any damage...I was in pain earlier but I think that's just the impact and being jolted rather than whiplash..so hopefully it'll be fine after a good lie down etc

if you posted up the car reg on here or asked for a check on the car..
to see if the reg is correct.........and last owner
im sure somebody on here could check the car details for you
and send them via pm
carnt you enter the details via the dvlc reg site "sorry dont know it off hand"
worth a try ...at least to settle your mind...

Well just been outside to look at the car in daylight..and as suspected the bumper is more or less fine..bar a few scuffs etc..but last night I noticed the grill was loose (when I checked the bumper shut properly before I drove off..didn't want to survey damage in a parking bay)...today we have an answer..whole front of the car chassis has been pushed in/back whatever you want to call it about an inch, headlights have been pushed back etc..
Basically, when you look at the car the bottom half ie bumper area is set back from the normal position and now the bonnet won't shut
Coupled with the back my shoulder really hurts and I'm typing one handed this is not a good day
Just rang the insurance company & reported it & told my dad who works in insurance claims (I'd hoped that'd never be useful)
Absolutely gutted..poor Frankie

Don't know if you got around to reporting to police last night but you should do now as it is a Personal Injury accident now. Also, say you want to allege driving without due car and attention and that it is covered by CCTV. They should give you a form to fill out.

I'm going to the police station in 30 mins or so when mum gets back.
I've just rang security at the complex, explained the story briefly, gave them some times/car details etc and they said if I get the police to contact them (which sounds positive that there is possibly a camera there)...we moved to exchange details as we were in the way so had 2 chances to be on the CCTV. Was a very genuine bloke on the security line, seemed to really want to help bless him. Here's hoping!
