Default Starts missing when i go above 10psi

The car was sitting for 5 weeks before National day then the day before i set off it developed a problem

If i go above 10 psi it starts missing then when i lift off the accelerator it backfires

Normal driving its fine but only when the boost starts to rise

Its had new plugs, cap, rotor arm in the past 3 month

Have you gapped the plugs correctly? I get similar symptons when the plugs are worn or gapped incorrectly.

As above, plugs would be by my first guess.

Worth getting rid of the resistor in the rotor arm if you have one too.

I thought so but I begin to wonder when my set lasted a summer with only two trackdays. It was the normal platinum ones though and not the iridums but still lousy as thats what a set of Motorcraft 071 would manage and at one third of the price.

why do people say that? is the spark a candle?

it's simply that the spark can't make the gap as the resistance from the air/fuel mixture is too high.

can't we have this saying officially 'rebranded' to 'spark can't jump the gap' or something?
