Goodbye Honda Racing F1 - Hello RC Developments!
Well, handed my notice in at Honda Racing F1 yesterday, leave a week on Friday!
Was a very tough decision to make, been a huge privilege to be a part of Jensons' first race win and the Bonneville 400 land speed record, but i felt it was time to move on.
Was approached by RC Developments a few weeks ago, an offer was made and after a few negotiations - i accepted.
Start there on the 11th September building big power Evo's...

Thanks guys - i was a bit of a jack of all trades at Honda - my main specialist areas were electronics for the first 6 months and engine systems/hydraulics for the remainder.
I'm looking forward to the move to RC as it'll allow me to really get my teeth into things - there's only a handful of people there, as opposed to the 500+ at Honda!

F1 hours are stupid long. (mate at Aguri) At least it will be more sensible at RC Dev.
Were the rumours of Honda supplying champagne/chocolates to every employee after JBs win true?

Aguri are probably under even greater pressure as things stand at the moment - i've a lot of respect for the boys there - doing a hard job with a lot of piss taking...
Honda did treat all the employees to a glass of champagne at the debrief the next day and the race team boys travelled back from the airport to the factory in limos with champagne
I don't expect the hours at RC to be any easier, but i'm not afraid of hard work and i think i've made the right decision as i was starting to get frustrated at being unable to see jobs through start to finish, only playing a small part in a huge equation.
And Matt - no, i'm not the new tea boy
