Right where to start, i am ahving a prob with a trader on this site which i wont say who yet but want to know if i am out of order?

It all started on the 27th of April when i ordered some car parts sent the money via a cheque. One month later i pm'd him from here and he said he was having probs getting hold of some bits, fair enough i thought carried on waiting it got to two and a half months and i had enough so when he said he would send me my money back i said yes to it. This has not arrived yet either its been over 3 months now and nothing i have pm'd him between 15-20 times and he has replied but with no actions. I got in contact with trading standards about it and they said "if someone does not deliver the goods within 30 days you are entitled to your money back" so i have written a letter to him stating this and i have heard nothing back. Now i will take this all the way to court to get my money back but its hassle for me and him plus he would have to pay for my expenses loss of wages travelling to his area for the court day it will cost him more.

So am i being out of order??? I did not expect this from this man.

I am not having a go at this bloke at all and all i have heard is good stuff about him but on this occasion he has let me down big time.

sounds like the trader is well out of order, he needs a bit more organisation i think

 

i think if he gets a letter thru his door saying that legal proceedings have started then im betting u will get ur money back within the week.

There is only so much time you can wait and wait and wait till, enough is enough.

you seem to have given enough chances to send either the goods or the refund.

You are totally in the right on your account of events.

If this guy is using the site then why ban him? If he is banned then there is no chance that it will be resolved any quicker as they wont be able to respond to PM's

Ian has also said that he is a "trader" on this site so i am assuming that they paid the same way as you Pete with a company cheque. As Stu's post says at the top of this page:

Any person running a business will not be "one of the bed room bandits" as you like to call them.

i have PM'd Ian to see if he would like me to have a word with this trader as we dont want to tarnish all the traders on here with the same brush.

The trader will not be named and shamed if we get a successful resolution to this problem.

 

I know of a trader who pays with a totally different cheque which is given to him by his boss which has nothing to do with selling car spares,now you you me thats right BUT he gets away with it
and yes the trader should be named as its wrong what he has done,I wonder how you would feel if it was your money

You do right mate....the only thing you have done wrong is not named them....tell us who it is so no one else gets the bad treatment...

 

I am waiting for a reply back from Ian to see if he want me to intervene on behalf of PF as he is a trader on this site.

As he is a trader on this site then the web admin will decide on the next course of action.

If he is banned for treating people like that then he has only himself to blame, in the same way that people are banned for being foul and abusive towards other PF members be they traders, gold members or non gold members.

 

so the next person has to wait another 3-4 months until they come on here again, threaten to name and shame, the the trader sends them there money back, NO THANKS i don't want to be the next victim

Ian obviously doesnt want to name and shame in case it all goes to court.

This post can then be used against him, or anyone else, that comes out with slanderous remarks.

Could effectively bring the site down, then what?

If Ian wants to PM me the trader concerned then we, as a webteam, can get in touch and see whats going on and find out why he hasnt either sent him good or returned his money.

This may all end up with the trader concerned having his trade status revoked from this site.

All the people who are concerned on this post can PM Ian as well to find out who this trader is so then no one else will get there fingers burnt.

I detest posts like this as it always ends up with people seeking the other persons blood.

What if the trader is Mike Rainbird (using Mike as an example here as I know it wouldnt be him) then what?

I know you was using Mike as an example only but because Ian has posted the post EVERYONE in their right mind WILL want to know so they DONT get the same greif!


ps IF this trader gets named there'll be loads of people to say "well I have never had a prob and CAN vouch for him here it loads on here doesn't help the 1 person that's got the trouble though!

why cant the passionford members be protected against things like this ??? I thought thats why we had passionford official trader systems to try to show the members that the traders were good people , I know PF cant be responsible for traders actions but people should be allowed to name traders who have done them wrong or whats the point in the Official PF traders system

My view is, If you dont name the dodgy trader then EVERY trader on here is a suspect which isnt fair on the legit ones

before you all start on me let me explane
he orderd a kit of me in april with some recon brembos i could make a kit up with
i said i need to get a type of rotor of godspeed for the price quoted
i tryed for 4 weeks to get intouch with him but to know evail
i offerd the lad his money back as i not spent anything as yet with his money
he said he deffo wanted a kit so i went lookin for some other rotors cheaper
i got some BRAND NEW aps for Ł285 and made some NEW BELLS TO SUIT then before i got bells back from polishing i was taken ill into hospital for 3 weeks very badly ill nearly had anther brain thing unable to walk due to my leg that badly swallon
anyway i then got a back and was signed off work for 4 weeks i was very ill not being ablle to work only at weekend when my mate gave me a hand
then he told me its been so long he wanted his money back
i told him no beacuse i just spent Ł350 of his money on parts for him only
i offerd to sell the aps and you can see in the for sale sectoin i not making this up
i offerd him the money left over back and the new bits to him
thats bells rotors brand new aps Ł350 plus the Ł300 i own him
he refused sayin am in the wrong i told him he can have his cash in full when parts are sold i even tryed to sell the full kit a few weeks ago on here go look cheap 330 kit for sale
due to heath resons i am not longer trading as zoo and the 2nd hand parts i was selling were personal not anything to do with zoo
i still offering the same Ł300 back and rest when sold i have bought parts on his intruscton so there his parts
anybody that knows ap stuff will know Ł285 for 2 brand new 330 28mm rotors is very cheap hence why i bort them retail there nearly Ł500 a pair
what else can i do

Just for the record, I NEVER knew who the trader was, Ian hasnt come back to me.
