Just finished watching it, top film actually...could have been better but still a good watch

effects were really good and it actually had a storyline

worth a view if given the chance!

Another suggestion is 'Open Water' one spooky film

All about 2 divers left behind by a boat trip.........left to fend by themselves and have to overcome sharks and paranas (sp?) taking chunks out of their legs

ye very good film, not on a par with the first Alien but more like a Predator 3 movie still very good fight scences!

 

aye smit, i got my copy on saturday night

mine was an internal cam release tho so quality was poop

i thought it'd be wank coz its only rated PG-13 but they did pull it off

the plotline has NOTHING to do with the alien or predator movies, but its still a very good action movie in its own right... i was impressed

 

i remember as a teen they were threatening to make this film, that was like 10 years ago!

Took they're bloody time, i like the way they've got Bishop back in it! good link.

benn no its not, but you dont actually notice TBH... it doesnt shy away from showing the detail etc... just not much blood involved coz not many humans about to get killed... lol

Not sure if I am looking forward to seeing this one. My uncle works in the film industry and ot chance to see the script before it was being shot. He said it was a bag of poo but now a few peeps on here seem to be saying its ok oh well, no way around it I guess, I'll have to wait till it comes out and go see it for myself

the original cut of alien3 (aka the special edition) had bishop being a real life person (you see him bleed and he actually screams "i'm not an android" when he gets a good kickin) when the film was re-cut for its cinematic release they purposely changed it so that there's an "is he/isnt he" thing going on... youre not suposed to know... youre left thinking he could possibly be an android... this was probably done so that people would actually have something half decent to discus re: the film, as the rest of it was a bit pants (by aliens standards)

have you seen the special edition by the way? (its on the quadrilogy DVD) the actual PLOT is completely different!!!!! at least half the film is changed! for example in the SE one they do manage to capture the alien in that waste bunker bit! also the chestburster comes out of a cow, not a dog. oh, and there are entire characters that got cut from the theatrical release!

but reguarding the Bishop human bit...you see him get hit over ther head with a spade by one of the prisoners when ripley threatens to kill herself and you see his ear half hanging off with blood dripping from his head

3 was utter pants! 4 wasnt much better, but IMO aliens is one of the best films ever made!

My missus can't stand it, something to do with me watching it on a weekly basis!

in my eyes the alien series is a TRILOGY and someone made a shit film based on it afterwards... it was a money orientated project plain and simple

I agree Aliens is one of my top five all time best!! Alien three directors cut is much better than the normal release. An extra 40 mins, which does explain allot more

 

The special edition is the nutz, Jim iwas watching Aliens in Bagdad, while you were still in your dads bag!

4 doesn't even come close to Aliens......................

also in the theatrical edition you dont know whats happened, so youre not sure what to expect, in SE you already know its been taken over by aliens
