Default cosworth propshaft

For a 4x4 saph cossie,the bit thats under the heat shield thing,it has a threaded collar on it,can you buy theses seperately as mine is rattling a bit ?

If its rattleing, nip it up - get a pair of mole grips on it, jack a roadwheel up at the rear, and rotate the roadwheel anti-clockwise. this will tighten up the grease collar

Thanks for the reply paul,i've tried tightening it but it starts to rattle again after 2 days though .

slacken it off, and then fill it with grease and re-tighten Should cure it

Was gonna take it off the car to have a good look at it,where do you put the grease in ?

just wind it right off untill it falls onto the splined part of the prop, pull the rubber bush back and apply grease round this area, slide rubber bush forward and then apply grease around it and inside the collar, then re-fit and tighten

thats the quick way, the long way is to remove the propshaft and grease everything
