I class dance as a broad genre with house, techno, hardcore, etc etc all parts of it.

Same as there are tons of variations of Rock and so on.
Fairy muff. Different people have different definitions I guess.

Can't beat old school techno though. Ultrasonic all the way!

In my opinion All genre's (sp) of dance are derived from Chicago House, all the original DJ's, Frankie Knucles, Marshall Jefferson, Richie Rich etc are Legends, if you trace all types of dance back to there origins, they all come from House.

So I personally can't choose 1 all time favourite, I can get it down to about 50, but even then, that 50 changes...

Few of my Faves...

Gat dacor - Passion, get a massive rush everytime I hear it.
LFO - LFO, Hot n Sweaty
2 Bad Mice - Bombscare, classic, again what a rush
SL2 - Ragga tip, never could quite manage that dance

Aww man could go on for ever...

Whilst I am hardcore for rock and metal ( ) I still listen to and tolerate other sytles of music, and several years ago had my "dance obsession" phase

Songs I remember liking;

Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar
Binery Finery - 1999 (Gouryella remix)
Josh Wink - Higher State Of Consciousness
Ayla - Ayla (Veracocha Mix)
Fragma - Toca Me
Agnelli & Nelson - El Nino
Faithless - God Is A DJ (and of course, Insomnia)
B.B.E. - Seven Days And One Week

No idea if those would still be classed as good these days, but I liked em then, and can still listen to em as it reminds me of around the time I left school and spent then summer getting smashed in various clubs, pubs n bars

I'm usually quite happy to listen to near all types of music, and the only ones I really cannot stand or tolerate is most drum'n'bass, garage, jungle and "proper" rap (not the mainstream rap like JaRule and all that shit )

And as far as adancey stuff goes, I usually opt for two genres : uplifting trancy high energy stuff, like Euphoria (not so much happy hardcore and that type of stuff) or chill out stuff......

Binary Finary's 1999 is deffo my fave of the trancy euphoric stuff tho

You had everything there - oldskool, techno, house, hardcore, dnb the lot and peeps from all walks of life - travellers n crustys, hippys, casuals you name em they was there! - and not one bit of trouble!
