Default FRST fan problems!!

A friend of mine has a problem with his electric fan on his fiesta RST. It works fine if you bridge the 2 connections from the wiring plug,he has fitted 3 new fan switches but the fan will NOT come on when the car reaches the required temperature. So what the hell can it be if its not the fan or switch??????...bad earth maybe???????????

I had a problem like this with mine, It may be a good idea to check the earth out first

But i found that the actual wiring plug was tatty and full of sh*t!!! Also with the wiring plug being 15 years old, the terminations had widened with use over the years. So went to the local scrapyard (cause ford don't make them anymore!!) and cut a next to new one out of a 1.1 mk3 fiesta freedom, all for the small price of £1

Replaced it on the FRST and it fit like a glove, had no problems since
