has any one from the north east ever used or know any one who has used r&p woods in newcastle heard some good stuff about them they are fully booked till sep so must be quite good need my cossie settin up but cant be arsed driving miles to get it done. So all opinions welcome be it good or bad

Took my 106 GTI there for an idle problem an give them dues they fixed spot on after other north east tuners could not.

But when i asked about gettin it booked in for a uni chip to be fit and the reply " yeah no problem thing is we will need your car for 4 days " never went back after that. After that i promised myself to stop being lazy an take me car miles away to get tuned properly

ive heard of them, dont know anyone who's used them though. a couple of lads i know used motoscope in northallerton, they seemed to be pretty good.

Yeah never heard anything bad about Motorscope

motor scope will be the closest mate.But the only person i know who uses them is Paul Chapman.

Heard good things years ago, but not so good more recently (bit sloppy and lazy), some people i know just take theirs to Well Lane Turbo Centre and their cars are spot on, so worth the drive.
No point makin a comprimise (sp) and lettin some monkey loose on ya car for it to still need settin up/fixed later anyway

I would steer clear of r&p mate,3 rst engines blown within 100 mile and a newly painted car had the bonnet come up whilst they road tested it(to be fair they did reapir that). Would also steer clear of well lane,heard nothing but bad things about that place.
IMO its worth the extra mileage going to MSD

wouldnt dream of going to well lane, ive had bad experiences before, only thing is MSD dont tend to like just setting up on greys and tbh i cant really afford to get it live mapped at the mo!

dicko goto carwise at york 45mins drive, set mine up on the grays but don't use r&p fucked my corrado g60 up and cost me a fortune to fix it and i took the 3 door there and it run worse than when it went in

was not going to go back there with the 3door but i was told they are mint with cossie's but it is a load of shit..(one of the machanics that USED to work there was really good with them) ........

tbh though weve been waiting for 2mths for neil to get me a chip, still not heard anything so ive got one elsewhere, and cant wait another 4 to get it set up

oh dear oh dear tried to ring the tel no I have for Dicko several times about 3 weeks ago but no reply. Dicko has my mobile tel no and we have an answer phone at the workshop and WE DO pick the messages up off it. I am sorry you feel like that Sarah but I am not that hard to get in contact with.
