Default Identifying a 1800Zetec over a 1600/2000?

As per title really, how do you? Engine numbers etc

Replacment engine for my Mongayo finally arrived, late, and just wanna make sure its a 1.8 before I put it in!

Dont trust these dodgy bastard breakers

the block say 18 or 20 just under the head

i take it there is no zorst manifold on it?

18 or 20, cool, il go look.

Yeah theres a manifold on it mate, inlet and exhaust, sensors, plugs, injectors, flywheel, blahblah.

Think it prob wise to change plugs/clutch/cambelt/etc too, far as I know the clutch on the old engine managed 125k, so must be fucked by now.

i did have the tools for lining up the cam belts on a zetec but im fooked if i can find em at the mo, ill have a look for you tho.

also check the cam belt tensioners for cracks around the bearings, will prolly be worth putting new ones on too.
