Default Anyone know anything about Punto Turbos?

Just interested to know whether anyone can shed any light on these, such as how easy to tune, what kind of power can be extracted without too much work, reliability, 0-60 for a tuned example etc.

And also, what kind of example goes for the £2K mark?

Ta very muchly

I had helped fit weber on one. Now makes 230bhp which is very quick when on the road due to many reasons that are obvious.

What's that all about? Could have just said it's very quick now

Just throwing some ideas about. Getting bored of the 325. Bit reluctant to go back to Fiat build quality after the beemer tho.

In a similar situation. Just sold my 325.

Looked at punto turbos so many times in the last few years but always shyed away from them for no real reason.
Just a combination of things really. Build quality, reliability etc... doesnt inspire confidence from people ive spoken to but then each one is different as we all know.

Yeah same here XRT. Also most seem to have had a load of owners. TBH seems like a car that will usually have been thrashed by a young kid.

TBH I'm thinking a Passat 20V Turbo might be worth a look. A bit plain, sure, but lots of kit and tuneable. Prefer RWD by a mile now but can always go back to that when I've got my second year's no claims next year an get something meaty
