RWD I assume (looking at the tyres)? What weight is it? What terminal did it run?
Just proves you don't need 1000bhp + like some of the cars in this country claim.

There's been plenty of rwd, even a couple of 4wd (I'm talking japs, not ford by the way) cars over the past few years that have claimed 1000bhp and struggle to get far into the 10s and most of them have only recently started hitting 9s.

Most 1000bhp claims are chinese whispers and shit.
Its all about getting the power down, and the terminal speed shows how powerful the car is, regardless of ET.
Many big power UKs car seem to not get the ETs you might expect, but the terminals never lie.
Dont forget weight is a huge factor, power means fuck all, power to weight means everything, and a Mk2 weighing 800kg and 650bhp has a better power to weight ratio than a 1500kg 1000bhp car... (hasnt it? my maths is shit )

thats fast as fuck
steve you thick cunt, heres a mafs lesson for you
power to weight is worked out like this
1 ton / weight of car, times bhp
so
Escort
1000 / 800kg = 1.25, 1.25 x 650bhp = 812.5bhp!!
jap claim
1000 / 1500kg = 0.666, 0.666 x 1000bhp = 666.666 bhp
escort will piss it lol

Did Ford make a MK2 Escort Cosworth? I've never heard of one.
Has anyone grafted Cosworth engines and 4x4 running gear into just about any shell going. Yes they have, so a 4x4 MK2 Cossie wouldn't be any big surprise would it?
