Default what are those things that cover the turbo called?

turbo covers? turbo sleeves?

anyone know what im on about?lol and what do they actually do? keep the heat in the turbo?

Turbo Heat Shield?

Like the one above the turbo here:



And Std ones look like this:



If so, they protect everything near the turbo from the excessive heat the turbo produces; i.e the brake fluid resivoir, wiring etc.

I do know people who don't run a turbo heat shield of any kind, not even just a shield for the brake fluid resivoir but I personally would never dream of it

think i know what you mean,its like a bag that fits over the turbo ,just another form of heat shield i belive

If you are on about a Turbo Blanket which are supposed to make Power be warned both Neil & myself cooked a Turbo using one of these on a Topspeed run. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
