ok its not a ford but a s13 200sx ca18det. Went out yesterday and when the car was warm and on idle it started to smoke really bad but when i started to drive to go back home it stopped alltogether but as soon as i stopped again it smoked again. im thinking the turbo has had it? any ideas?

is the turbo water cooled?

if so try bypassing the water part of it and see if that cures it

but does sound like the turbo is on its way out

is the car over heating or anything

ok had a better look at the car today and it's a blue/white smoke. been told the turbo seals are on there way out. What will it cost to have them replaced?

got the same thing happening on my 1.8zvh fiesta white smoke on idle loads and loads of it
