Big powered 1600 rs turbos, take a look at this
This is a quote from a guy on another site about 1600cc rs turbo engines and the power you can squeeze from them
what do you guys think?

May be some truth in it as I am pretty confident Block selection is very important on 300bhp S2's
However if we're talking will they take the abuse ABSOFUCKINGLUTLY
No probs what so ever- Tim runs over 300bhp + nitrous

Christians is a 1.6 and yep fastest top speed
Ollie is actually a 1.9 american tall block (still cvh 8v)
Tims is 1.6 and fastest 1/4 mile for ERST ( I think) with Nitrous- its well over 300 horses without anyway.
I am afraid the quote of 230 and tuning them since 15 is a shame.
The std 1600cvh is at its limit on standard head and internals at about 230 if memory seves me correctly.

my old series 2 was built by bailey back in the 90,s and was still running a strong 250bhp when i owned it but they built it to 270 then. reg was f139 pvw white with tiger stripes up the back and 5 spoke speedlines.i didnt have the work done but i bought it years later.that was relaible as fuck for me for 2yrs and after i sold it!
and im sure the big power boys on here aint that unreliable!
