A blow off valve isn't recirculating, they're known as a diaphragm type. Bailey twin piston ones are recirculating, thats the ony type you can safely use on a RST

I think the HKS super sequential (SSQV) is a twin piston type! never heard of one being used on an rst tho!

IMO dont run one at all, they end up causing problems eventually and are pretty pointless!

You can get the bailey in both recirc and non recirc. Both can be used on the rst(in terms of effecting idle) although not too relavant seen as your ditching the metering head.

A dump valve and BOV are the exact same thing. Both can come in atmospheric or re-circulating versions. Not something you want to run unless you have to.

hi steve , you dont have to use the baileys mate, get a proper one off stu and use stu,s electronic box , iv had one on for years and thay work perfect mate , it works via the solanoid on your throttle , every time you close the throttle the solanoid closes the dump so no air problems and ticks perfect mate

Actually, a blow off valve traditionally was a device used to vent excess boost pressure to atmosphere to stop you destroying an engine.

Ie: Engine normally runs 28psi but at 31psi a valve opens and drops the pressure.

Yup, as per Stu.

Just the yanks/japs have used the name for summat its not really.

Tho some people call them pop off valves.

And somepeople call BOVs/DVs wastegates, so its a bit of a minefield if you dont know what you looking at!
