The MLR trackdays are good.
If you are going to Ford Fair, MLR are having one of their sprints days there too on the Stowe 1 mile circuit. The 40 entries are really good

OH NO..
Evo`s granted are a newer car, but personally i didnt get the same buzz as driving the Escort
I had an Evo8 and TBH was a quick car, just very boring to drive..
Each to thier own, and you do have to try one
I wanted one since the lauch of the 7, but personally was very dissapointed
SORRY

2 over on the back is good going mate. My golf has been a bit weird like that too recently, shot 82 last week (11 over) and I dropped 7 shots on two holes! I keep playing well for 12 or 14 of the 18 holes, but awful for the other 6 or 4. I can't work out why though!
Sometimes when you have a poor front nine you relax a bit on the back nine and play better. Vice versa when you play well on the front nine you might start thinking about your score too much and tense up and play badly on the back nine.
It's a crazy game!

NO MINE WAS A 300.
Very bland inside, nothing special. Didnt feel as if you were driving somthing with pure pedigree
Also re-sale values a killer
Had to trade mine as no one wanted it. Loads to choose from.
M8 has got a 330 with a 400 conversion & its a beast, but just doesn`t do it for me..
Can`t beat an Escy for looks

I think resale is down to the car. Mine and maxes are Low mile, low owner cars. Both suported by FULL MITSI SH, et cetc. Maxes is pure power and has been treated better than the owners wife! and mine is the same but is the FQ model without the mega power mods. We both bought then at the right money too, which is a bonus!
Ive just done 80 miles tonite, half a tank of fuel and had more fun than i ever did in the escy! I always felt the car was too nice to enjoy plus she lacked the power! Nearly 100BHP more and you can tell!
I will always the love the Escy and i will probably get another when the time is right etc etc

I got 16.5 k trade, and only cos i traded for an 04 plate 7k miles FRS
that i paid 18.5k for. Resale is a real killer on them as so many are produced. My m8 is trying to sell his & can`t get nowhere near what he wants for it.. Said hed keep it rather than loose so much money on it.
Nice car m8 & are quick, but are a new car.. Escorts 10 years older demand more respect and presence.
Even standing still the Escort is a pure aggressive looking car

Wait for the service bills.
Friend works at local dealer & told me all services are the same. Same parts & fluids used, BUT price reflects model
260 model is around £270, buy the time you get to the 340 add over £100 Every 4500 miles or 6 months or your warranty could be invalid.. OUCH

Getting services done at a tuners is far cheaper and doesn't invalidate the warranty if Mitsi parts are used. I pay under £200 at a tuners and I'd trust a tuner far more than a Mitsi dealer. It works out no more expensive than what I pay for servicing on the cossie during the same time/mileage span.

You have to expect expensive bills what ever fast / super car you go for. I spent nearly £500 on a full service on my ecos before i sold her, this includer timing belt, diff oils etc etc

I have just worked out what mpg I got in the Evo, going to Elvington and back and I am like....
From a full tank (55 litres) I got 289.4 miles which equates to 26.67mpg and that wasn't hanging around either The fuel warning light had just come on, so I reckon I could have got 300 miles.
Last time I worked it out for my cossie, I got 166.6 and that holds 10 litres more.
In fairness though, the Evo does have 6th gear which is ideal for motorway driving.

I have had my VII for a couple of months now and the thing is awesome. Two mates have just bought 8 MR's and another is looking at a yellow VII. Went for a spin through the hills with a guy in his IX the other week which was great fun.
Honestly is the best car I have owned for cossie type performance but above all, reliability and daily use plus insurance is cheap as is maintenance.

Sounds like you're the opposite to me, my long game is pretty good right now but I'm still struggling on and around the greens.
