He may be a twat, but I can see the logic behind this one - how many times have you had some wanker on a pushbike come flying up the inside of your car as you turn left, or fly thru a red light infront of you and then onto the pavement and nearly take out people on foot
One of the sillyest fucking tricks the wankers on 2 pedal'd wheels pull is going straight thru a red light, causing vehicles to slam on, and then the cunt on the bike swears and rants at the drivers of said vehicles as he nearly got run over, due to his own frigging fault

It's all very well to laugh about it, but when you get a dick on a bike cutting through a gap that's not wide enough and takes your wing mirror out, then just turns to look at you before fucking off, it suddenly seems like a good idea to have some way of tracing them.
A few years ago, someone I know got knocked off their bike. It was probably their fault and it caused damage to the car. He actually got charged with the cost of the damage, but the only way they knew who to charge was because he had been injured, so couldn't leave the scene even if he wanted to.
Why should cyclists get away with it?

Had a cyclist ride out of a side road into the side of my car last year and the fucker leapt up blaming me. Then this tiny woman that was behind me got out and yelled some of the most obscene laguage at him saying it was his own fault and she would back me all th eway to the court room if need be.

Just another way of getting cyclists into the headlines - if it makes them think (and, yes i am one, and yes i'm not always law abiding...- but there are times and places to do things, and before evryone comes down on me like a ton of bricks, i sure none of you break the speed limit etc...) about acting a bit more sensibly then its a good thing.....

Bet that guy must have been pissed, but with plates on it could have been taken further. Also cameras on lights would be good, catch them jumping lights as thats annoying.Its a good idea in that sense but I can just imagine cyclists been taxed etc purely to raise more money
I think they should do it to elderly mobility cart things, some people are just asking for trouble driving thouse things, jumping lights at 3mph etc.

while were on the subject of bikes does anyone have them cycle events on the roads by them? we have them practically 2 or 3 times a week on the duel carridgeway by ours sometmes riding 3 and 4 abreast on the road even when one lane was coned off for road works, wouldnt mind but there is a fooking cycle path right next to it. they dont bother stopping at the roundabouts either think their time is more important than staying alive - twats!.
if this law means these people have to pay for the privilige of using the roads the same as the rest of us then thats fine by me.
