Being a biker myself for many years,am always gutted when something like this happens.......especially when it`s in my home town amongst my own riding community......

Very sad news.

One of the bikers was a mate of the lad ive worked with for 10yrs. I was on egg shells yestersday not knowing what to say to him.

very sad that two probably thoroughly nice blokes have died, but you have to question WTF they were upto to crash at such speed to kill each other, in whats obviously a crowded place if theres 100+ people there

dont mean to be the cunt but sounds like they must have been arsing about.....unfortunatly these things happen when you arse about, especially on bikes like that

Unfortunately Stu the excitement of the crowd etc does tend to overtake you......I`ve been there myself,you get over excited and the adrenaline starts to flow and then a simple mistake becomes a fatal error,especially when vehicles and speed are involved......


It`s a very harsh lesson to learn and a dreadful waste of young lives....

R.I.P Guys.Always sad to read things like this.I am also a biker who likes to "give it some" but I rarely lose respect for my machine and what its capable of.By saying that I am not saying they did but head on doesnt sound good does it?

Robbie where abouts the meet? I thought Wed was always teh Scotch Piper & the Hen & Chickens.

I no they do the races on Speke road doing wheelies thur the speed camera's but never new they had a big turn out so close.

because of the police intervention in the past,everyone goes up to the industrial estate so they can have a bit of a play away from the houses and stuff.......Usually just a few wheelies and donuts and stuff but as i said once the adrenaline gets flowing a simple mistake can become a fatal error.......

I didn`t know either of the lads well but i know a lot of the crowd who go there and i can`t imagine how gutted they must be to have witnessed a bit of fun going so horrifically wrong....
