out of the 2 id go for the Focus just coz you won't get the jealous kids in their Novas scratching it etc. But also it goes pretty well for a standard car.

Ive had an EVO8 FQ330, was an awesome car,

But prefer my 3dr to be honest, but thats just me........

If i had another EVO which i might, it would be a 6, TOMMI MAK......

But out of the 2 you`ve mentioned, focus for everyday, escos for the looks, and for just being an escos

Would get the Focus unless you got more money to spend on repairs for the cossie.

I've been bandying this idea about in my head and I've just been and test driven a Focus RS and it clinched it for me. Its fast, comfortable and new and has the things I want. It looks great, I loved the colour. Always wanted an Escy Cos, but not anymore, think they are getting a bit long in the tooth and I'll be buying the FRS when I change my car next.

Cheers

Matt

I love how everyone says save up! I'd bet around 70% of people buying cars buy them on finance/borrowed money. Not everyone wants to save for four years!

AGREED

We NEVER buy cars with our bank cash. Always borrow...Its 5% interest....thats fook all. Id rather have money in the bank for when i need it and pay for a car monthly than have a load of money tied in the car....

Just bought the Golf gti cash..but i mean like when i bought my escos or my BMW i had last year....i borrowed about a third of the money....

Out of the 2 Focus RS with your budget.

Get a good focus cheaper than you can a good escos plus focus is a lot cheaper to insure.

Depends on how much milage your going to be doing and why your using the car?

If its just a evenings/weekends toy and your going to have spare £££ each month to keep it running then the Esc Cos.

But if your using everyday and you dont have any spare £££ to spend on a car each month, then the Focus RS.

IMO the service costs of Evo's is too much for an everyday car.

She must be mad, she could have a 5 bed house with double garage, but instead you have an Evo 8 and the servicing costs

That was the main thing that put me off buying an Evo for an everyday car, i couldnt afford to keep servicing it and replacing the parts when i get a bit carried away with it and that with i perfered the look of a Focus RS over the Evo 7/8

Depending on where you are, servicing an Evo is NOT expensive, i used to take mine to a reputable tuner / garage near me, full service was about 90 quid all in, AND a lot of people would prefer to have bought a car which has been looked after by an enthusiast rather than some spotty oik in a Mitsi garage who hasn't got the passion for the cars as we have

Go for the Focus

Agree totally, I use a tuner instead of a Mitsi dealer.
