Depends what you want to recover it from?

I have used a couple for excel and they work but are excel specific.

Its for my password for outlook express its asking for a password, its never done it before was ages ago I set it up no idea what it is!

That could be a seperate issue altogether. My dad had this problem. Do a search on www.experts-exchange.com which is a techie forum for that. I think you will find even if you know it, it wont get rid of the box.

The remote ISP mailserver could be down. If its not been changed then I would take my guess with that TBH.
