sticky idle speed control valve.

unplug it - does the idle drop?

if so, remove the idle speed control and clean - try carb cleaner or something, just be careful not to get on the electrics..

Sticky idle speed control valve possibly
Try unplugging it and see if it drops down

well if the ICSV doesn't have an effect on it it could be:

Air leak........

sticky throttle..........

Coolant sensor causing overfueling........

Yes no problems with the coolant sensor. they are prone to failure.

try Matt Lewis on here, he does them cheapest i think..........

easy test for that, whether its right or not i dont know

spray some wd40 over the inlet manifold, revs should drop momentarily if the gasket has blown..
