Default Has he given me the wrong part?

I bought a coolant temp sendor for my gauge, on my 92 4x4 earlier. and the plug doesnt fit on it, what sensor has he given me?

Thats a generic ford coolant guage sensor.

Change the connector and it will still work

yeah the part number is 6145143, so if I get a fork connector and a nut she will work fine?
can someone get me the proper part no.?

you shouldnt need to change the connector as there a push on fit,

if its to tight getting it on then just open th econnector up a bit and it will go on and be fine but you really want it a fairly tight it on the end of the sensor

the bolt is a hell of a lot bigger than the connector.

ok just had a look and the connector has a brown wire going to it?

now that sounds plausible, anyone know what colour wire the temp gauge should be and where is the oil pressure sender situated?

well for future reference, the brown and green wire lead to the oil pressure sender, and that part was the correct temp sender gauge works correctly now.
