what would my car break for?
Thinking of breaking my car as something else has come along...
Any ideas of what it might break for?
Car:-
G reg Magenta 2wd sapph
4x4 bonnet (bit chipped but ok otherwise)
front bumper (needs paint)
Back Bumper
4x4 intercooler
new rad (about 2000 miles old!)
Mongoose s/s exhaust
new steering rack
Tarcal header tank
strut brace (might even sell my group a type strut brace)
rebuilt 2wd bottom end with small turbo escort cossie head complete with spark plug cover and leads, not covered alot of miles by the looks of the engine when it was apart, complete with hybrid T34 and 4x4 cossie blue injectors
2 bar map sensor
17" wolfrace alloys with reasonable tread tyres
leather
nomad boost and volt gauges
a piller pod to take 2 gauges
leccy sunroof
dark dash
l6 ecu
good 2wd gearbox
diff
2wd std calipers all round
koni suspension
usual other stuff
Poss maybe stage 3 bits to sell too.
cheers

with the amount of bits floating around from all the people breaking cossies ..not as much as if you broke it a year ago
have you tried the conventional , you know advertise your car.... you never know it might sell

to be honest mate its far less stressful doing it that way than having to strip the car yourself, package half the bits up and get to the post office, and be left with loads of crap piling up in your garage!!
Believe me ive been there!!

Chris,
I dont have a garage, and trust me, i've sold and broke cars before, and breaking them was alot less stress!
I have no trouble packaging things either.. i have a useful g/f

how is breaking a cossie easier and less stressfull than selling one
you would be surprised at the amount of people that are actually genuine , 50% of the time its the seller that isnt genuine the amount of cars ive been to see and they have not been as described , by me not buying it does that make me a timewaster??

My car as a whole isnt worth as much as it is in pieces, and i need more money for it in pieces than as it is as a whole.
at the end of the day, its my car, and i will do with it as i please

Well then please tell me where you get 5k from for a cossie with , lets say ,,,,, konis / s/steel / scruffy 17" alloys ( as they always are on a car for breaking )
as this is about the average breaker car ,,,
Also dont list all the shit that you know never sells , Lights / propshaft / dash ( unless its black ) sunroof/ wipermotor / loom etc etc you know the crap i mean
Go on then 5k
And remember its 2wd
