rs 6 will look the nuts, but 18's fill arches just about 17's will look to small the golf/audi a models, and seat leons can take 20's with no arch work at all lowered by 40mm as they have such huge arches look here for some lush cars and help mate

Id never go smaller than 18s on a Mk4 TBH, they have huuuge arches, even 19s dont look remotley wrong.

19inch RS8 wheels always looks good, and the replicas are identical looking and pretty cheap.

Make sure you get wide wheels, and a decent offset, dont want to bring the gay cossie trend of skinny wheels about a mile inside the arch into the VW world.

IMO id stop asking the least styled cars in the modding scene, and go join the obsessives on edition38 and ask them, they might be way OTT in their love of VWs, but they got taste, and know the answers.

(and wont tell you to buy wank like wolfraces )

Thing is, its just wifes everyday runabout that id just like some nice wheels for as the std gti ones are a bit turd. Im not after winning the next VWOC show!!! All the audi wheels ive seen seem ti sit pretty nice in the arches

I WONT be going for that stretched tyre look either Hate it...

Dont need to unless you going for mega low offset and mega wide. Its just to fit the tyres in the arches.

Even 9x19s or similar fit straight away with the right offset.

But nothing will look gayer than a set of ET50 7.5x17 Wolfraces or similar tho, its all about the offset...

Try on here Lee: http://topgear.co.uk

If you see anything you like let me know size and what tyres you want and I'll see about a good price - I use em a lot and they give me some pretty good deals.

I like these myself:

http://topgear.co.uk/acatalog/4x_18_...0_18_tyres.php

Only £725 with tyres

Cheers
