excluding labour costs, surely 15 metres wire, dozen connectors and some protective wrap should cost less than £100 ?

PMSL at how some people think making looms is 'that' easy
I used to love working with the Raychem DR25 stuff at work, i remember having to do some repair work on a main chassis loom once and trust me, on an F1 car, the central section is about as thick as your wrist
Took me 3 days to bell it all out
I've recently been looking into Deutsch/Souriau Autosport connectors like i used to use at work to incorporate into the loom i'm building on my RS and like has been mentioned before - getting them on their own is a nightmare and about £20 per connector![Sad](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)
Ryan - anymore jobs going?

Richard, yes i can quite believe it.
when you use top quliaty parts and top quality work the cost spiral massively.
oh and spud, i can quite easily use than in a month, but the drums are too big and heavy to use on my cable machine.
500m would be ideal.
Must look into it again.

my argument wasnt about the quality but the fact that u dont have to buy it in 100 metre rolls you can buy it by the metre. i do agree that making a loom for a ton is hard work i had one made cost me nearly 70 quid for all the different wires and the mini timers. and they where at trade prices to.

LOL @ this thread!!
I am an auto electrician, I design and prototype electrical systems as well as fix them. I sometimes make looms for a living and even I fooked my own loom off to Pectel because it's that much of a pain in the arse!
