We dropped into our local ford dealer (holliways in hartlepool) earlier to have a butchers at this number 174, still had D40's on it but the wheels wernt the origional finish and about 33k on the clock, £21,999 , shitty pic as took off me phone.

they had one in holiways here in aycliffe, same colour, same mileage, it was for sale for months, i know a lad who works there, he said a load of people came to look at it, but the car had a full spray which put everybody off, it might be the same car, they might of moved it from aycliffe holiways to hartlepool holiways, i cant remember the registration though, so it could be a different car. this is a pic from when it was in aycliffe, i opened the pic and zoomed in, you can barely make out the plate, but when zoomed in, you can just make out that the last 3 letters are the same, still could be a different car though.

quite possibly, i know the md's son runs the holiways here, and over the years he's had a couple of 3dr's, 3 escort cossies, an st24, an st200, and a focus rs. but last time i was down there he'd started on the jap suff and had an evo 8 i think.

thats true as its a shame to drive a 500 IMO.

I was talking to the sales person at holliways durham and he was telling me about a 500 in the aycliffe holliways.He said that it was in the back of the showroom owned by the MD and that it had no price on but was for sale for the right money.iirc he also said there was a Series 2 with very little miles on owned by MD.could be wrong tho.

I can honestly say I can't remember the last time I saw a 3 door on the road. Only time i've seen one was at the ford saloon day at snetterton. I did have a think about buying spadge' white one but I would have been too scared to leave it anywhere around here as you just dont see them and it would have attracted all the wrong kind of attention

I would say the same except last weekend me and the wife took the saff into down to the sea front to get an ice cream and some sun first time I have taken it into the city for ages, and what do I end up behind, a lowered but otherwise standard moonstone 3 door, who as soon as he saw me started show boating with some nice sideways action, made my day.

this is the problem i have-a quick rs500 that i love driving hard but paranoid of crashing it due to what it is.sometimes wish i had never seen it!


but i am very tempted to put original engine back in and have it at,say stage 1 and put it away.

leaving me lots of tasty bits to make a quick sapphy!

my 500 i know what my car is valued at but to be honest i dont give a #### , the black car for sale at the ford dealers is a nice car as all 500's are, remember there was only 500 built in 1987 , it's 2006 now how many left 250 ish poss ? these cars are undervalued imo .

The value is only important if you want to sell, I am happy with the valuation i got from Martin for my car , but saying that i wouldnt give a shit if it was worth 10k less, I love it and thats all that matters

It is good that these cars are getting more valuable tho as it only makes them that bit more special
