Which tuner has the cleanest workshop?
It concerns me that looking at all the majority of tuners, the amount of mess and chaos that seems to be in the background of photos taken.
So as the question say above, who's workshop is the cleanest?
(I work for a major automotive manufacturer, it we had that mess health and safety would shut us down)

workshop or engine building room.
levels of clenlyness will vary massivley between them two.
unlikely to see a mega clean workshop as its used to take oily crusty muddy shit apart 24/7.
but ive seen some mega clean rooms. but also some sheds.
cleanest engine room ive ever seen is bluesprints, its like a science lab in there.

Our workshops are used to take some extremely muddy vehicles apart. It never gets dirty. I just assume the tuners are too lazy to clear up.
I do agree with the engine room comment. I've been in our test rooms, prodrives and others and they are spotless, but i have seen some backstreet tuners who are seen to be high quality working in a mess.

clean worshops dont magically produce good motors tho.
id happily take my car to a tuner where the floor was ankle deep in human fiecies and rotting animal carcasses if they produced far better results for the money than the rest

some times ppl dont have time to clean every day of the week
after workibg 18hr till 2am like i have 2nite the last think i wana do is start sweeping up grinbdibng dust rotten panels filler dust of the floor only to be made a mess on 2moz
i clean up once a week as thats only time i get
grinding welding machining turning faricating sprayin all are very dirty jobs and greate loads mess swarf etc
dont judge a book buy its cover my mate who is a proper srayer once told me if you need a spray boothe to paiNT A CAR OR LORRY YOU CARNT PAINT IN THE 1ST PLACE
a boothe is only needed for fast turn around ie bake the paint
all my cars vans have been painted in firty workshops as you call them but finiosh is far better than most spray shops with boothes
moral of the story dont judge a craftsmen by there seroundings

I was always impressed with how TurboSystems was kept. I wouldn't say it was immaculate, but I don't see how a working workshop can be, they were always exceptionally careful in they way they worked around the cars and moved them.
And organised too. I picked my car up once and dashed off after work taking some tools with me in the engine bay. Took them back and Tony knew which tools were missing and where they were in my engine bay. How he knew that from sitting in his little office on his computer drinking tea and shouting at people down the phone I don't know.

id never judge a garage on the state of the place more on the work they produce
main dealers etc always have modern spotless workshops but your usually paying for this in the redicoulous labour charges and parts prices lol .doesnt mean there actually any better than the smelly pikey who fixes cars from his driveway

my cleaning day is every sunday tools are al;ways locked away every nite just crap on the floor

like alot have said, id rather take my car to whoever is the best, not who is the cleanest...
thats why i do most of it myself
or if i cant be arsed then i take it to Jamsport for them to do it
they may not be the cleanest place mentioned, but who gives a fuck about that?

Just had a couple of mates who have been to what is seen to be reputable and they've had problems with cleanliness, i.e. foreign objects in places where they should be.
I'm not naming anyone as I'm not out to slag anyone, it was just a light hearted post after seeing some of the workshop photos in mags and on websites.
It might be true that some of the best work comes from workshops that might not be the tidiest, but it reduces my confidence thats all.
