Default Any tips on removing cossie Flywheels

It just keeps turning with the rachet

Was easy on the RST's as you just jammed a screw driver in the teeth but I can't find anywhere to do it

Suggestion from Phill2400-

Use a G clamp on the flywheel, as it rotates round it should jam up against the block, holding the wheel still.

Bob's your mother's brother.

Hope that helps u?

lol i done the same...........................

put a socket on and ratchet then give the end of the ratchet a tap with a big hammer to shock it off if its still tight give the bolt a belt with the hammer a couple of times to shock it then it should come straight off..................(if you ar re-useing the bolts don't hit them)

But on the easyer side buy a compressor and a nice windy gun

I go for the "jam a couple of screwdrivers between the starter motor hole and flywheel teeth" approach but TBH it makes sense to just buy a flywheel locking tool if you can be arsed to go and fetch one, they are only about a tenner anyway!

Is the sump coming off? You can put a block of wood between te crank and the inside of the block then.
