Two cars that should have been there (Steve and Andy's) can't make it due to gearbox issues and another due to engine failue. No other cars made the grade / were ready in time for the event .

NO point in fielding cars that won't do the business....

The stupid muppet left it too late and missed the deadline, by which time ALL spaces had been filled (with 23 paid up reserves ) .

With regard to my car, if it was a rolling start the same as GT Battle, then I would have entered for the handling. However, as the start is so crucial and I don't want to subject my transmission to those kind of shock loads (prudence is the better part of valour and all that ), plus the transmission is SO slow on the MT75, so it really is at a huge disadvantage. We'll see what next year brings, as I'm seriously considering a dedicated dog box for these kind of events .

I spent nearly Ł10k on my RS500 (on top of what it cost to buy) getting up to what I wanted..... why didnt I use it in competition..... because I was afraid something would bust meaning more money and/or I would wreck the car. So I can sympathise with others that choose not to.

Now, I just don't give sh!t.

I will show off mine mate in the not to distant future, be assured.

Very few Cossies can really compete at TOTB . Im glad Mike is not sending cars for the sake of it, makes the Cossie scene look stupid. Bit suprised Mike thinks a car with 400+bhp is to the standard, unless it has a 250bhp shot of Nitrous . 700min I think to compete.
I wish the guys well.

Yes Team Autronic have a good chance of all 3 titles but the overall winner is hard to call.
They have altered the overall points scoring method this year so the overall title will go to a car that scores a top ten in the handling along with a 9 for the qtr and probably 185 plus top speed (as its trapped over a mile this year).

All the massive power cars seem to struggle on the handling circuit, so well set up(suspension and brakes) 450 to 500bhp cossy would compete

probably the 1/4's and top speed events kill any chance of a decent overall score for most cossies , not many out there that run consistant 11's and hit a genuine 170MPH+
