Just read this in Top Gear magazine. Never knew that.
I have seen from time to time harsh criticism of some Englsih built cars. I wonder if you are aware that there is a range of cars that are excellent quality and are - technically and historically - Scottish. To explain, and to allow you further research, let me first introduce you to Thomas Blake Glover, who was born in Fraserburgh, Aberdeen in 1838, and is still the only non-Japanese person ever to be awarded The Order of the Rsing Sun. He died in 1911 and his home in Nagasaki is today both a memorial and museum. As well as establishing the Takashima Coal Mine, he was the founder of Mitsubishi. So the Mitsubishi products we buy today, can be said to be Scottish.
Not terribly earth shattering, but I found it interesting
Cheers
