Spooky is my mate who made this post. I think he has valid points about the car.

Mastertech is above said Ford bod. No wonder Ford is losing money if this is the type of plonker they employ. To me, he's being obstructive rather than helpful.

Opinions??

i'd say mastertech is right in the main. Its got bugger all to do with ford anyway if its out of their manufacturers warranty.

your mate bought an old car, they all have faults.

stuff like 'light lens broken' well, didnt he see that when he bought the car? could of happened after he drove it home, or anytime there after.

ANY garage worth their salt would fix the MOT failures within a month of purchase, you are saying you found these faults AFTER?

He bought a 6 year old car. I own a 20 year old that had less faults than that.

He had a car under warranty and as it ran out, the garage fobbed him off. Either way, they sold a car after saying they found no faults with it and an independent inspector found that lot on the list. Agreed, some are minor and wouldn't have put me off, but this one

9. gearbox leaking oil...........ok if its still leaking oil there is oil in it

smacks of a don't give a toss attitude to selling cars. And this one

12. O/S/R caliper siezed..........fair mot failure

Don't know how they missed it if the brake discs were replaced?

Seems suspect to me.

this is why any sensible person would have spent 80quid on an aa/rac check first before handing any money over... sniffs of someone passing the buck when the buyer hasnt done their homework

assuming it's a main dealer, they haven't done the best used car prep they could have.
But, as said previously, these 'faults' could have occoured after purchase.

I'd be a little concerned that a main dealer tech couldn't pick up a seized caliper, and after working for one for a few years, i don't know one tech there that didn't do an outstanding job and took pride in what they did.

I feel they would have taken more care in prepping the car due to it's age.

Just my opinion.
