Default Computer Help Please

Situation:
I just built my new computer and switched it on.....seems ok BUT the monitor refuses to get a signal from the tower.

It's a TFT into a Radeon 9550.
The computer doesn't beep.
The Graphics card is seated correctly.
The Cables are seated correctly.
No light comes on the keyboard (num lock)
And the PC won't restart/switch off via the buttons on the front.
I have to switch off at the power supply.

Any ideas guys???

try remoing the memory and all devices just l;eave cpu, gfx card and thts it see if it boots then.

try another gfx card.

has it also got an onboard gfx card if so boot it off tht first as it maybe an option eithger in the bios or a jumper setting on the mobo itself.

also have u got the small power connector plugged in (not the main power to the mobo) on the psu there'll be another small power connector. if u aint to sxure wht i mean i'll get a pic of it for u

Ok thanks for that, I'll try the first option

2nd i have already tried with my old gfx card which DEFFO works.

as for the small power connector? i'm not sure, please pic me up! haha

cheers.

Specs -
80 GB SATA HDD
1.8GHz Athlon CPU
256Mb 9550 Radeon GFX
1GB DDR RAM

it's not amazing but it's sure as hell better than my last.
