Modified with new suspension that knocks the geometry right out when its lowered due to how cossie suspension works, giving it loads of toe out on the rear that makes it handle even worse than standard, and trying to compete with cars like M3s running decent 255 wide tyres when your running 205 wide Nangkangs.

I have to concur, most 2wd Cossies handle like a piece of shit with comical rear bump steer. Well chosen mods and they do become a weapon though (shame most people think a well chosen mod consists of "slamming it to the ground - wicked innit" ) . Mine was awesome with 385bhp (500bhp was a bit too much for the chassis without slicks on the rear, but still great fun).

To be honest, the spring rates were too harsh for bumper back roads, but on smooth A-roads / track, it was awesome . On my Escort, I have softened the spring rates off, which although compromises it a little on track, it is awesome on the road and round the Ring .

i have to get a 'proper' stage 3 now then

mine feels a little slow now

will get it back in one piece, then more boost (and breakages )

Glad you are happy with the M3 dave. Awesome machine.

i would have got the convertible though, if you gonna pose, you may as well do it properly

This is interesting as i Came accross a New M3 last night, I thought tbh he would be faster but....

My escos was a tad quicker, he was not impressed ..lol..

so only cossies are on bad tyres like you mentioned...and m3 are only on good tyres..

im on bridgestone potenzas re050a....not your nangkang tyre is it?..oh..and there 215 wide...

Rich,
You'd need much more aggressive geometry, some VERY good tyres and AP brakes, but I think it would certainly surprise a few people .
