OMG look at that air intake for the turbo. Does it run any sort of air filter?

Is there any advantage to having a ram air effect with the air scoop going into the turbo on that Cossie, or is it just to suck in the cooler air from outside the engine bay?

Tony may be able to shed more accurate light on power figures, but the guy working on Birley's car was talking 450-500
Nick Williamson's Escort looks nothing special under the bonnet, T34 by the look of it, but goes really well on the track.

Should've come over , i dont bite ! Was a good weekend , a few issues but no real traumas . Fk me tho , the track is scary fast and bumpy in all the braking zones, had a real problem keeping my car pointing the right way from about 150mph into Avon rise to Quarry , fell off at the stupid chicane on the back straight twice and went rallycrossing , as did Rod , Nick and Andy wickens who hit the wall there in his Sapphire .
Kris Waites Yellow sapphire was right on song too , couldn't quite catch him in the short race on saturday and he didn't start the sunday race .
We estimated the turbo cars on the 1st 3 rows to have a combined 3000bhp , was an awesome sight and 8000 paying spectators really enjoyed the racing . Anyone with fullsize action shots of my car please mail me

Cool pics Tony

Well done on the 3rd place

Did you have any probs? your times don't seem as fast as I would have thought mate?

I can bang in 1.15-1.16's when I get a clear track around there in my car and you are on another planet to me as a driver! were you always in alot of traffic?

Mind you, its hardly the most challenging on tracks I suppose! point and squirt!

Well done again, would love to see what time you could do around there in my car if it was set up for you

*edit* just seen you did a 1.14 thought 1.17 was your best lap. I am a div

Still makes my 1.15 on a car that drove there and back pretty good huh?

Hi Lee ,

Never been there before and i struggled a bit in practice , couldn't get a clear run through the 32 starters , not an excuse really i know . With guys to race with i got the hang of it tho , i have to say 4wd has a massive advantage even with less power i could see the drive round tower and the squirt through the chicanes on the 4wd cars was saving huge amounts of time .
was the quickest 2wd car tho so cant be all bad .
I also had a std T5 box in the car which fked my ratios up and became very vague , grizzle ,grizzle , lol . I'll get quicker , just need seat time , first time ive run the car since i won at brands last year .
Come out and well have a race chap , i'd enjoy that

Did not think about traction issues really around there but you are probably right Actually thinking about it my car lights up all FOUR wheels out of one the chicanes! so I am being an idiot

When car is sorted I think I will pay you for that transport and set up service you offer. I reckon you could find seconds in the car and minutes in my driving
