Those of you with cages in your Series 2's - please can you post pics?

I'm designing a cage for mine and have a few ideas - just want to see if i'm on the right lines... [/list]

Why bother designing one when you can buy one and/or pick em up cheaply enough 2nd hand.

The one in my series 2 was 200 quid and was freshly powder coated silver Saftey devices one.

For that sort of money I can't see the point of making one.

Valid point mate - however - i've got a nitrous bottle that needs mounting at 30 degrees, harness bars for the harnesses and a few other things to incorporate...

I'm going for a 4 turret route to stiffen the chassis up as well and it'll be welded in...

The thing is - i've worked as a welder/fabby at work covering when one of the regulars was off - so its not like its going to cost me more than £100 in materials

Fair enuff but why not buy a good second hand cage and add those bits to it.

Job done - less hassle- even less cost and just as good/better job as you're starting with something thats designed to do the job in the first place.

Brom,

The material will be coming from work - as long as i'm seen to be paying for 'most' of it...

I'll see how much i could get you your stuff for - we have special discounts with our suppliers so it's worth asking

Build your own... It's much better to say you built it yourself. If it's safe of course.
