Default Anyone competant in fitting a new engine to an RS1800?

Thanks to the floodwater, apparently, a pulley of somesort has snapped
casuing my timing belt to slip and do god knows what damage to my rs1800s engine

I been given 3 options, new cam and puley kit £350 fitted, new cylinderhead or summat £850 or a brand new engine, £2k

Skipton Ford, , say that the cam kit probably wont do the job as they think engine damage has hapenned.

Whatever the prob its gonna cost a lot.
Anyone help me? New engine at a slightly cheaper source?

All this just to get to work wish i stayed in bed

Can anyone get a new engine for me? People from FT.com have receommneded a mondeo 2.0Ltr engine but i wouldnt knoww hat to look for in one and how to fit

I've got a rebuilt 1800 Zetec 16v from a XR2i sat in my garage at the mo, has loom, box, ecu, head, starter everything, was warranteed by ford but has now run out, swap your inlet plenum etc over and voila, a nearly new RS1800, and I've also got the superchip plug on eprom from my wifes old RS1800 too.
£300

RS1800 bottom end differed from 2i zetec by having the oil jets under pistons, 130 bhp 3i also had this engine-105bhp 3i didnt.

Bash you are far more likely to locate a 2.0 Zetec than a 1.8 130ps engine.

if the belt has slipped it cant have done THAT much damage (unles syour the unluckiest mo fo in the world ) i imagine it has just bent some valves.. which leaves you with the option of either having new ones fitted or getting a new head/secondhand head.. TBH this aint gonna be all that expensive!
