Delocking the tailgate on my s2
Hi guys, what parts are needed to do this and have a pop switch inside the car, i vaguely remember it involved a fiesta bootlock (which one) and a piece of wire coathanger bent into a certain shape.....
Could someone please clarify and add pics if possible and ill love ya forever
Also whats the best way to get the wiring through the roof lining and down the inside off the bootlid as i want it to look factory

I did this to my esc cab years ago, i totally de-locked the bootlid (blanked it off) & used a boot release from a xr2i. It's just fookin awkward to explain it thou!

Just buy a solenoid thingy which sits behind where the boot release is or would have been and then run the wire into the boot and under the carpet. Thats what ive done to mine and you cant see none of it.

My alarm fucked up on me and I found out after 9 years that the key I have don't fit the boot lock.
A claw hammer seemed to get me into the car ok though Made me feel a bit better as well. How comes smashing stuff when you're in a mood is really relaxing?

and to be honest i cant see why i would need to get in the boot if it did fuck up, bar my sub nothin ever gos in there.....But I would have a switch inside the car so why would the alarm breaking ever matter, my doors are delocked but its easy enough to get in, just slim gym the door or smash a window, there only about 8quid from the scrappy

when i had my escort years ago i delocked the boot...
welded a few plates from the inside....and used a solenoid, switch and wiring from a MK3 Orion (cost a fiver)
u have to make a small bracket (not a hard job) to hold the solenoid but it ain't hard i did it! pmsl
my main concern was some1 putting a screw driver through the weld so i welded it well

I'm having fun with mine at the moment, cos my S2 has been stood for the past 4 weeks, the battery has been completely drained by the alarm & immobiliser.
Car is delocked all around & now I can't get into the fookin thing, gonna have to break into my own car!!!
