maria Im just interested I caught some of the previous threads on your car and bad luck ect, but i cant understand where did the 9k go if the engine wasnt new? or a re con, im in the process of re-building mine cus i melted it and its going to be around 2.5k?? Did you have lots of other stuff bar the engine? anyway I dont need anyones money so this isnt a plee but i'll give a tenner for said pics!!

I think you’ll find that was Destiny’s Child Sweedie I’m right there with ya. I have no bloke or rich daddy who bought me the car. Not saying that your minted Maria but you have your own place, an Escos and an Evo. I live in rented accommodation, have folks in a council house and bugger all money. My car, through no fault of my own is FOOKED at the moment and I have thrown enough money at it. Ask Rich PON, Dingle, Wapster, Nige, Rob at SCC or anyone unfortunate enough to know me and they will tell you I’ve BAWLED (snot down the face, the whole shebang) over my Escos more often than Ima has hit on a ‘Board Bird’. It’s summer, the shows are on and my car is in the garage cos I don’t have the money to fix it right now. That’s what you get for owning an Cossie.

Being a girl into cars can be a bit mad. People assume that it’s your bloke’s car or that the only reason you own an RS is to pull a fella with a better one (which REALLY aint the case for me ) That just drives me mad. It’s MY car, MY fun, MY problem and if anyone offered to pay I’d tell them to bugger off, cos hey, maybe they’re after summat. And if Ima had done this for me I’d have asked for it to be deleted before getting the bad responses.

I used to get ancy about USL giving us girls a bad name. You didn’t start this thread Maria but I don’t want everyone to think that girls will ponce to get their car’s on the road. The boys are right, if you were male it wouldn’t have happened and I don’t see why we should get preferential treatment.

That said I’m up for putting a tenner towards it, so long as everyone does it for every car that dies.. including my own (now would be good!) As I say it’s the money thing that drives me, help is quite another thing. I’ve been bailed out in the past by Dingy, SCC, Martin (God) Hadland etc and have appreciated all of it. Everyone needs a hand now and again and you Maria seem to be happier with that and GOOD FOR YOU.

I’d avoided this post for a while as I have a party in a fortnight which both, erm, parties were coming to and I also have my own history with SCC. But in their defence (not that they need it) how can they guarantee parts they did not supply? Rob’s not a git. Before National Day the aforementioned bawling Cola called him to say that the car wasn’t moving at all. I kinda blamed them as they’d just done a load of work on the car. Rob came out to my house in the rain and fiddled for time… and what was the problem? The one part SCC did not supply (always the frigging way)! Rob charged me a token amount way less than I would have paid elsewhere and called me a twat. End of.

Good luck with your car Maria and I hope people do help you out, but if you don’t want cash make that clear.

Cola you make some valid points and well made I think what pissed people off was the way the post degenereated into personal attacks by some people and people that always seem to post just to knock people (not you Cola)

I help peopel on here no matter who they are if I can always have always will just my help dont amount to anything mechanical.I have shit loads of help of here aswell.Then the same people have asjked for help in the past yet Maria never did?

But in real life someone people will get mpore help than others some people will be overlooked has happebed since the cavemen and will always happen.

After much thinkin about this i realised i only asked the question about helping Maria cause i thought WTF looks like she needs the help and she sposed to be fit. BUT i have not been mentioned once for starting this appeal..... if i hadnt of mentioned it i can say as FACT you wouldnt be getting shit!

So TBH i take back the thread....i dont want ANYTHING except just one reply by Maria early on in the thread thanking ME for setting this up......being polite goes along way in this situation.
