Changing complete braking system - easy?
Basically, I want to replace my front discs and pads for cossie ones and just replace the cylinder and shoes on the rear, and bleed the whole system with new brake fluid.
I have 2wd discs and 4x4 calipers and pads, and just new shoes for the back.
DO they go straight on? Some people say they have had to use a 1mm spacer, why is this, and where can i get one from if i need one?
Is it all a straightforward process if I get someone to keep the pedal held in/out when i say and remove the bleed nipple as and when?
changing the rear shoes, is this easy?
any problems i might run into?
Any help appreciated!

assuming it's for the S2?
i will say one thing and one thing only, if you don't understand the implications of what you are doing, don't do it
brakes do their job for a reasn, and if you fuck them up, you soon know about it
someone will be along soon enough to explain what you will need to do the swap at the front, but they are easy enough
agian, know what you are doing, or get someone who knows what you want them to do to advise you with hands on help

1 mm washer is for the a spacer on the calipers so it aligns them up straight
alls you want is a 1mm washer but the hole big enough so the caliper bolts fits through
then they are a straight swap
the rear shoes, ive always bought everything at the back complete like, shoes, cylinders, spring kit do the whole job if it hasnt been done new handbrake cable aswell
but thats me
if you have a haynes manual the the rear shoes are easy as its step by step instructions for the rear drums
car doesnt have abs does it?
