Hey Everyone, BIG Hello... this is my first visit on the site ....... hope im doing this right! lol.
I have had my mk1 mondeo now for over 2 years and i have fallen head over heels in love with my car! ive had around 9 cars in my life and theres something about my mondy that no other car has ...... yeah, sure, i admit, there a little out of date now, but i dont care, i would spend every penny for the rest of my life on that car ... infact, thats what i do.
its not just my car its self i enjoy, its the history of the mondy, how amazingly famous it was, it hurts me as to how forgotten it is now .....
if i could, i would try to bring the spirit of the mondeo back.
peole laught at me all the time! when i go for MOT's i get the usual ... 'buy a new car' and 'what do you call that thing' i get so pi***d off about it and it really touches a nerve! maybe i shouldnt take it so bad and bte the bullet more often, but i cant!
im hoping to show people what a mondeo is really all about....
ive already started to mod mine quite a bit, and i must admit, it does get alot of compliments too...!
the planns i have for my car will cost alot of money, but my car is worth every penny......or every grand! lol.
i wouldnt swap my car for the world and everyone who knows me, knows that!
i would love to hear back from someone whos passionate about mk 1 mondys, i really would....... well, id love to hear back from anyone really but my aim is to find a real true mondy lover!

mondeo's have a notable history as taxi's , abosultely legendary in the taxi business

but i know what she mean's, ive grown quiet attached to mine, and i couldnt tell you why.

actually, mine blew up two weeks after i bought it!!!! LOL.
but that was due to a Bas***d for a previous owner, really messed the car up, im still replacing all the parts now, the poor thing was almost all glued and sticky taped together! had new engine and parts.... now thats love!

i was going to drop an st24 lump in mine but i didnt quite have the money to change the sus and breaks at the time.... wish i waited now! got told i was mad by a ford breakers up near durham! cant see how! lol
i do like the sierra cossie's quite a bit to be honest, hard to find a decent one now though i think, rust is a huge prob with them...... god i hate rust!

thats very nice lee, ive got the chance of some leather for mine but, its black and my interiors grey, and i cant be aRSed to change all the plastics, dash and roof lining.

How much does a leather mondy interior go for?

Seats in my mondy are pretty fucked so i wouldnt mind replacing them.

im gutted, mine didnt have a scratch on it untill i moved to darlington, in durham, kids just attacked mine, i feel sick still, im sorting him out though, just a money issue at the moment.

ive been offered a full interior chip, in decent condition, including dash, carpets, plastics, roof lining, seats, and door cards for Ł100.

ive asked about for the interior myself, cant remember exactly but its quite alot, try a main ford breakers, they prob get loads of after market things still on the cars....they must sell them on sometime, or maybe e-bay! not the most reliable but they mite have leather mondy interior.
not quite sure! im after the combat front bumper for mine! having loads of trouble,lol

to be honest chip i couldnt tell you mate, i know a lot of the parts between mk1 and mk 2 are interchangeable, one thing is though, saloon interior wont fit a hatch, and vice versa, or this is what ive been told anyway

to be honest on here its not even a ford thing, theres quite a few who post who dont own fords, everyone is made to feel welcome on here regardless of what you drive, saying that, there has been a war going on in the muppet room, but that seems to have calmed down

i just bort a m reg mondi td with full leather and scraped it on needed the engine payed Ł300 for it tax n tested
if i had known you could of had it for free
i got Ł70 back weigh it in

only came about in the mk1 mondy, and only 1.6 L plate
