Ł10k i feel is somewhat higher than i would want to pay etc
with 120k miles if its on first engine and you had MODS planned its gonna cost a few quid
If its been rebuilt once or TWICE you might start knocking on the door of a new block so Ł10k i think would be HIGH
i would offer in the region of Ł8k IMHO

in these sort of cases i feel you will have to go on the merits of the individual car.. in the ends its worth 'whatever someone will pay for it' be it 5k or 15k,
It may have had a hard life it may have had a good one... only when seeing the car will you be able to establish this...
One 10 yr old car can be VERY different from the next!

I was looking for the usual average miler, good nick blah blah std too really, BUT specifically in Mallard and Big T, the last 2 were my only real specifics I had to stick to..
Looked at loads they just didnt measure up to what I wanted....Ususally haveing LOADS of owners (5 was the average) or Obvious (sometimes poor) panel work
MY car I viewed, was a little aprehensive, as was juast under 100k
BUT at time 0f purchase 30k previously had full blueprint rebuild by powers, more recently, all the brakes had been replaced, fronts AP, all suspension was polybushed and aftermarket shocks springs, loadsa extras under bonnet, blah blah blah
1 previous owner, immaculate, bar the usual expected scratches and chips, reciepts in excess of Ł20k, owned by a businessman in central london and lived in Herts, used for commutig regularly...
SO it all rested on how badly the interior creaked and rattled on test drive..... It didnt doesnt... testament to the std strength of the shell I imagine... No Welding, none needed, fully waxoiled
So the way I loooked at it was most if not all of the major wearing components had been already replaced, and with uprated items....
since Ive had it ive done about 10k in 2 years
and replaced H/G (was a grp A item, now WRC type).... clutch, front discs (AP items) tyres...couple of oil filters, oil, . blah blah, BUT had I bought say a 60 - 80k car, these items would most probably still have been needed within the time I have had it..., just general maintainence really.... PLUS I couldve ben looking at Original engine build std tired suspension std tired brakes bushes etc....
OK I admit, according to all the docs, she still has the original Diffs G/Box and Turbo, but they are hardly expensive to replace now are they .... I simply keep that to the back of my mind and IF/when they go, so be it....
I would NOT accept any less then Ł13-14k for it Im afraid, and that would only be if I had no viewers or takers at a higher advertised price than that for a long time... maybe that makes me a dreamer, maybe that makes me appear to be from another planet lol, so be it, I dont care, till the day I most deffinitely have to sell it ASAP..... I am sure someone will almost certainly pay i thought, I made VERY sure I had the right car when I shelled out my hard-earned...
