what do i need for this conversion i am buying the engine out of a mondeo and i can have any bits i need from the car if anyone has a few pointers would be rearly helpfull ie witch gear box works best,what bits do i need to swap from the mondeo and what bits do i keep???

I reckon you need a Phill, a Simon, and a lot of elbow grease....

Looking forward to Sat and stripping the donor car...

Anyone got some advice for us then? Sure this must have been done by others on here?

my advice would be to use a fiesta Si 16v loom, that is unless you wanna be faffing around doing wiring and pin changes to remove the external EDIS on the 16v 2i loom. all mondeo's have internal EDIS, external PATS. just like the Si.

cheers for the info...is the loom from the si the same as the loom out the mondeo cause i got a whole mondeo to strip for bits or can you run the engine on the standard loom and ecu or will this give me less power???

and if someone could explain the edis thing would be very helpfull
