Default The Clive the cossie saga continues!!!

Well as most of you know, on my way back from the Bristol meet last month, my head gasket gave way!!

After inspection at SCC it was discovered that my head had warped, hence needed replacing!!

The top man Paul at North Yorks Spares sent over a new head to SCC so they could get it reattached to clives engine!

Well, after a few swear words, Rob got the head put back on, only to discover that the ehad wasnt the only problem i had with my engine! and suspected that my bottom end was in need of a rebuild!!!

So due to lack of funds, AND enthusiasm now, i went and picked clive up on Saturday on the back of a trailer and she is now sat in my garage, looking and feeling very sorry for herself!

Mark from M A Developments came out to have a gander under the bonnet for me yesterday, just to confirm what SCC had said, and that yes, i need a rebuild!

So after a total of approx 9grand and a huge total of 500 miles, i am right back to square one!!

So while i start saving my pennies, i am yet again cossieless!

i just thought id let you all in on the latest in the poorly cossie saga!

Oh and thanks again to everyone for putting up with me moaning, ranting and raving about clive!!!

Maria,

I know I no longer work there, but it would help when you post these sorts of things to let people know exactly what was done.

Since it seems that everybody knows exactly what was done for the money, would someone who obviously knows like to explain to everyone else?

This is what I hate about these bulletin boards - everybody is SOOO quick to jump on the bandwagon and act like vultures when they smell fresh prey.

Did it get mentioned that there's a clutch in there. Oh, and 18" tyres. Strut brace. Bailey tanks. Complete management swap including all sensors............... and the list goes on.

Fuckin clueless twats.

Maria,

1. I'm not any high horse, so wind your neck in.

2. Stop insinuating things - you were entirely different to me on MSN this morning, so if you've got something to say...............

3. Why are you feeling the need to play trial by bulletin board. Unfortunately, I don't work at SCC anymore, and there's nothing I can do to help, but this is the second time I've been on two different bulletin boards to stop people jumping to conclusions about what was charged for the work carried out on your car, in a vein attempt to stop recrimination and the company being the victim of unfair criticism.

If any of these so-called experts had any idea on how the industry works, then they would realise that people charge different amounts for different reasons.

For example, Steve Scott charges an hourly labour rate that most companies couldn't even get close to, because he works with minimal overheads.

Now the job carried out on your was extremely labour intensive, hence the cost.

My problem was that it was being illustrated that it was 9k for an engine swap, which it clearly is not.

trial by bulletin boeard? and unfair critism? Now YOU point out to me rich where on here i have critisised SCC or have been unfair to them in ANYWAY and i will put my hands up and apologise for doing so unfairly!

can ya find it? huh huh huh?

NO

if people wanna question what the money was spent on, then thats up to them! when i say something derogatory then you can shoot me down in flames, untill then, dont.
