Maria,
1. I'm not any high horse, so wind your neck in.
2. Stop insinuating things - you were entirely different to me on MSN this morning, so if you've got something to say...............
3. Why are you feeling the need to play trial by bulletin board. Unfortunately, I don't work at SCC anymore, and there's nothing I can do to help, but this is the second time I've been on two different bulletin boards to stop people jumping to conclusions about what was charged for the work carried out on your car, in a vein attempt to stop recrimination and the company being the victim of unfair criticism.
If any of these so-called experts had any idea on how the industry works, then they would realise that people charge different amounts for different reasons.
For example, Steve Scott charges an hourly labour rate that most companies couldn't even get close to, because he works with minimal overheads.
Now the job carried out on your was extremely labour intensive, hence the cost.
My problem was that it was being illustrated that it was 9k for an engine swap, which it clearly is not.
