Quick computer question?
Help! Hi all, how do I do this? I've made a file on my desktop of loadsa pics of my little boy, and I've got a disc burner with a new DVD-R cd in it. How do I put the pics onto the CD so I can play them on my TV?
Anyone know? I need a real idiots guide.
Cheers,
Andy

windows won't do it as standard.
IMO, the best think for you is to get hold of NERO - some easy to use software which doesn pretty much everyhting u can think of when it comes to cd/dvd/pics/vids.
PC world sell it.

Do you have a programme you use for burning things to disc? Like Nero for example?
If so you will be able to use that programme - in the interface there will be a list of actions able to perform - what you want is probably listed as MAKE PICTURE DVD or MAKE DATA DVD.
Alternatively, you can stick the DVD in the drive, then highlight all the pics (not the file in one go, but all the pics inside the file) click/hold on them and drag them to the DVD PLAYER icon in MY COMPUTER. Windows should be able to write the pics to the disc so they can be viewd in a DVD player or another PC/laptop.
How many pics are we talking tho? As a DVD is 4.7gb, which is a LOT of space for pics! Bearing in mind you can fit literally THOUSANDS of pics on a singel 700mb std CD-R

You can also download Nero 6 now aswell, as 7 has superceeded it. Serial numbers are easily found - might even be able to get a working copy from Nero's site

Assuming you have windows XP, Right click on the folder, move the mouse to send to, then left click on the dvd-ram drive. A message will appear in the right hand corner in a bubble saying there are files waiting to be written to dvd. Click on that, it will open an explorer type window, and on the left there is a link to say "write these files to disc".
