I was in traffic with my door open using it as a fan. This was at night.
The car has no heat issues under bonnet etc.
I was thinking about fitting a roof vent (As below). But its a waste of a tidy non sunroof shell

Fair play jano,
I remember those louvre vents. They are very 80s on an standard looking xr3i but I think they would be a nice touch on something like janos black escort.
Good luck in your search.
btw have you tried kenlee and old similar car parts shops? They stock this kind of stuff and you never know might have an brand new one hiding up in their stock rooms somewhere.

im gonna be using perspex rear and side windys on the 3dr, bu keeping the glass fronts so i can open them lol
not sure wether to bother with a fan/heater yet tho...
as its been said mate, get a perspex rear and chop holes in it as i think you will have big problems trying to find one of them things for a mk3

Maximum Auto Style used to sell these. They advertised back in Fast Ford c.2002 - 2003.
I beleive the company has since ceased trading. I couldn't find an actual company name, so couldn't find out whether they were still active.
I've looked up an old copy and tried their 2 sales lines, but neither line are recognised.
They were carbon fibre look (easily painted ) and sold for £129 inc. VAT.
I looked into all this about 6 months ago as I wanted some for my escort mk6 (they were available!) and found out all the above. Please let us know if you get hold of some!
