Why an M3? I can't understand why they're so popular!!!!

I would drive one if you paid me, not because of the car, purely the image!

I agree - driven E30, 36's and 46's and have to say they just don't excite me or float my boat. Nice cars, very smooth and all that but I don't even think they're that quick TBH. Very ovarrated IMO.

No no, I completely understand the cars qualities. BUT. It's the image, dunno about down south, but up here there is only a certain type of person that buys them. The tent to wear a suit with a pink skirt, wear ridiculously trendy shades, in the rain/dark etc, and have the most expensive spiky hair-do that you can get in the Vidal Sasoon salon

There was an atricle in the paper that called them 'metrosexuals'. They try to look gay without sucking the boaby, if you get me

Who said i wanted speed any more??Half the reason fo letting it go...

Plus i only said M3 as its in that price bracket..

There not a speed car anyway, there a refined car....

i want something i can use everyday, not have to worry will it start etc etc,can park it up and not worry about it,all these factors you HAVNT got with a Cosworth if you ask me?!

Your money mate. Wouldn't dream of telling you what to do with it.

But have you thought about an Audi? You could get an S4 for M3 money

Don't understand the mentality of getting the car perfect and then selling it on to someone else to reap the benefit . However, I always knew you were stupid .

because mike cossies dont stop perfect for very long so when they are at there best its time to sell before it goes tits up again and again and again ,weve all been there something allways needs doing or upgrading so i think pete has done the right thing in letting it go at the right time cossies are not the be all and end all ,at the moment there are a lot better cars than cossies out there ,this was proved on saturday at time attack only 2 cossies, steve scotts broke the turbo, but managed to change the core and try again did very well , steve fitzpatrick in the other one ,the rest of the cars were evos, scoobys skylines ,350z so what does that say for the cossie scene

That seems rather jaded . Any and every MODIFIED car suffers the same way, its what happens when you more than double the car's original output . The only thing is that the modern cars now have a more "monied-up" following (as they cost so much more to buy in the first place) and so they can afford to spend the money required to make them appear to be more reliable. Whereas Cossies seem to be done on a budget - and that just doesn't work....

I LOVED the look of your car and it would have been a nice toy

BUT you will get soo much more pleasure out of driving a M3 day to day I think.

Good decision mate

agree with you there mike, cossies are done on a budget thats why when they are at there best let them go before you have to dig in your pockets again but lets be fair ,if you added up all the money spent on your car, mine included (when i had it) and a lot of others on here, i could have been driving around in a csl now

Yeh i love my cossies, and i make them to what i can with the funds i have.. I havnt got a endless wallet like some people,so i live with in my means.... Yeh its hard in a way when you walk in to Martoons,ZOO,or Seans and look at what they have, and you do feel like a poorper at times, but i was happy with what i had,and i stretched my budjet as far as a could with the car with out getting in to "DEBT"!!!!!!!

Id be more than happy if i wanna carry on,or should i say star doing trackdays again by building another 2.0nova!!!!If it goes bang its Ł300 for a new engine,if i smash it up,its Ł100 for a new shell!!!! That to me is what its all about ,FUN FUN FUN,not worrying about "if this goes,or if that goes"!!!Look at the Spikey 2 years ago,He lost a car though 1 mistake,ALOT of car to risk if you cant afford to put it right.....

I didnt want to sell the car,but the right price, and as John said the right time, all fell in to place,so it HAD TO GO!!!!!! ITS A BIT OF FUCKIN METAL at the end of the day,not like its a life or death situation!!!

I'm not saying that, it just seems so bizare to poor your heart / sole / wallet into finishing a car, only to sell it on before at least getting some use out of it .

I would just like to say, that in the finished pictures, it does look amazing - I bet the bufty in you couldn't bring yourself to drive it after getting it to looking so good .

And no-one makes you take the car on track, so that won't wash, you can still have the Nova shed to do that with as well as the Cossie . Just admit it, you're a pimp-daddy and want to be able to flash the BMW key-ring at the 16-year olds .

RUMBLED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeh i can see what your saying Mike, but i honestley (know this might sound stupid) but i enjoy building a car more than i do driving it...

Was 1 of the reasons i went for the Reyland job..I have ALOT more fun building/making/maintaing cars, than i do from actually driving them...At the end of the day yeh ok,i am a few quid up (not much mind) from the sale of it,but man hours im down BIG TIME!!!!!!!!

The guys happy with the car,im sad to see it go,but ive now got a healthier bank acount, and ive made some 1 happy whos now got there dream car...Everyones a winner in my books...

Same with my Saffs/RST

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/09...ddy/?start=all

I make them, keep them 6weeks after ive done them, and get bored, and wnat to do something else...Im like the Robin Hood of the RS world!!!!
