Default Fuc*ing livid-theiving bast*rds

I am absolutly fucking fuming - I get out of a taxi from birmingham after a night out, I have been chattin to the taxi driver all the way home,a pakistani guy who is all friendly and pleasant, give the guy his £25 fare, and a healthy tip, and say goodnight. I walk to my house, about 20 seconds after I get out the taxi I realize my phone isn't in my pocket, I had it when I got in the car as I was texting some people, so I run into my house, and ring my number 5 or 6 times, then it suddenly goes striaght to answer phone . The fucking theiving gypsy bastard has only realized I have left my phone in the car, turned it off and blatently stolen it I would gladly have paid the CUNT a few quid to return it for his petrol etc, but no, he has STOLEN it What the fuck is wrong with people??? I was nice as can be to the guy all the way home, but he has fucked me over afer taking my money off me and being friendly All I wanted is my phone back, but now I have had to cancel my number, claim off my insurance and have to go through all the hassle of getting everyones number again and there are loads of numbers I have lost I will prob never be able to get again Whats the point as the phone is now barred forever and useless??

FUCKING FUCK FUCK CUNT WANKER I hope all your kids and family die you thieving fuck I will be looking for you in the future

sorry but I had to get that off my chest

If i was you mate i would start ringing for some taxi's and when you finally get the same guy be waiting for him and give him a slap. Out of order IMO. Not just the phone tho it's like all the numbers etc in it. Can be a pain in the arse.

I did this once and was very lucky and got away with paying the cab driver 20 quid to return it.

A thought, my battery is loose on mine and I have picked it up on occasions from the sideboard only to look a minute later and its off. Mine has a PIN so only I can get back in. Do either of these apply to you mate?

Agreed, the cancer comment was a little harsh, but that aside, stealing Mobile phones is a common past-time amongst Taxi drivers. When I worked in the Mobile phone game, I used to regularly get Taxi drivers wanting to sell me job-lots of phones at once. It's easy pickings for them, most people start texting as soon as they get in the cab, then leave their phone there in their pissed up state.

first of all, I'm sorry for the comments last night, I have edited the post as it was innapropriate, and no offence was meant to anyone one on here at all.
I was absolutly ( and still am) fuming though .
Trouble is, being a bit worse for wear last night I didn't get the taxi company or drivers name, but I know he was driving a silver honda accord, so I might go and wait for the prick tonight. Only trouble is that birmigham is a big place, so probably not going to bump into him again in a hurry Its just the fact that he so blatently turned the phone off instead of doing the decent thing and giving it back. I have blocked it obviously and luckly got a new one coming out on tuesday, but its just the hassle of getting everyones numbers again etc

Will he be able to unlock it easy even though its blocked?

they did this as a sting op on a few cab firms in las vegas
left a phone/cash in the cab and wandered off
coppers followed the cab driver who went straight to his pad and then the collared him (he had a wad of folding in his pocket)

if you go back to the place you caught the cab from and ask which companies pick up from there would that help?

How do you know someone else in the back of his cab didn't find it when it rang?
Why did you feel the need to mention he was asian??

I agree you are probably right on the conscious theft aspect, BUT wht if the bloke before you was a proper cnt etc etc and the driver thought it was HIM who left his phone behind??? Perhaps he thought there was no way it could have been you as you couldnt have got indoors and phoned it soo quickly..??!!!

I doubt the phone will be barred tbh, as he turned it off before you rang the network, AFAIK it has to be on to be barred...??

they don't need to be on to be barred
if they ARE on when they are unbarred, you need to switch them off so the settings can be resorted again (i do this for the company plenty of times and it's always the same scenario for all ours phones (unless it's just O2 phones?))

i had a similar incident a few years back, my brother lef this phone on the bus when he got to the airport, seeing as i usd to drive the same route he called me to ask me what to do, i told him DON'T ring the phone

i got onto the blower to find out who the driver was and when he left the airport, then i gave the phone a bell while i was out on the road driving towards the bus

someone answered and i asked who it was, they put the phone donw
when i got to the bus i parked up in front of it and called the phone from inside the bus
it was rining upstairs and i confronted the guy who had it "do't want no trouble mate, just hand ove the phone and it'll all be sorted, my guy at the other end is watching the cctv footage so we know who you are, not worth getting done over a phone"
i also played my old "i'm an inspector" bit to the driver, who got on the radio to the garage and my mate controlling said it was ok

got the pohne back with no nasty surprises, hopefully you have the same luck when you find the cabbie

I didn't say there was any racism there but was curious to know why there was a need to mention he was Pakistani? If he had been Anglo Saxon would that have been mentioned? I think not!
Another question whilst i am at it how do you know he was from Pakistan Wil???

I know he was pakistani as he told me he was, we were chatting about loads of stuff on the way home, and football cropped up, and I asked him who he was supporting in the world cup, he said it would be pakistan as thats where he was born, but seeing as they are not in it he is supporting England. I mention it as when I described the guy to police I said he was pakistani, not " asian" . So don't try and throw the race card in my face, I am so angry because I thought we parted on freindly terms, and I even gave the fucker a big tip ontop of the £25 fare , and he blatently turned the phone off after I rang it a few times . Scum

do you not know what firm he was working for? or was it just a black cab? If so do as some one said earlyer and call up the company and report him, but then it would only be your word against his unless he has the phone in his pocession.

NO
as far as im aware when they block a handset, they block the IMEI number of the phone. you can get software that will change the IMEI number so the phone can be used again, the sofware can be bought of ebay for as little as £2.99, im not 100 percent on this subject but i believe it to be true.

We have that issue here. Asians here are the chinese etc not the same as Asian in the UK. Wanted adverts in the paper/crimes committed are almost a joke in the descriptions because they cannot say this person was Asian. Anything that helps narrow down the field needs to be mentioned, I am sure if it was a caucasian in India committing a crime that white skin would be mentioned.

If it is used constructively and not in a derogitory way, there is no harm IMO.

Completely agree there.. 2 ways of putting things

1 - Bloody asians.. knicking my phone
2 - An asain taxi driver stole my phone.

Some people need to get off their high horse...

If he had been a white guy you wouldn't have mentioned that at all hence my question
It was a simple question which has been made into an issue by yourself and others not me
In future try not to leave your phone in a cab and you won't have any problems

I'm not on my high horse as you call it at all!
You keep piping up however obviously trying to wind me up
My original question was to the topic starter but you felt the need to reply for him for some reason
I have an asian wife and my son is half asian and so yes i notice when people are being a tad racist! You can call it PC if you like i call it racism
The topic starter has explained that he meant nothing by it and i realise now that he didn't and that was all that i asked for with my original question!
You keep trying to make an issue here and not me so why don't you just but out???

He wasn't sayihg all asians would do this.. Jus the taxi driver in question was asain and had said himself when chatting to this guy.

If the taxi driver was a geordie, scot, irish etc etc then I'm sure he would have said that.
